Trendy Tuesday (not really a thing... I just invented it)

By Chandler - 8/13/2013

Hi There Friends, Family, Other Creatures,
wow am I in a weird mood... but that's not what we are going to talk about today.
Today is all about those fabulous trends that most of us follow, fall in love with, and then 6 weeks later want nothing to do with... everyone is guilty of falling into this trap at least once.  If you say you haven't, I'll take your word for it.  but just know that you are lying to yourself

But in all actuality, today is about me; and trends.  It is about the trends that I just don't understand and that I will never fall in love with.  So here are some things you won't see me hanging out in:

one // platform shoes.
I have no additional comment.

two // crop tops.
Maybe over a bikini on the beach. but otherwise, just no.

three // peplum tops (or dresses)
Some people look cute in them; I'm not one of those people

four // sheer tops
Some are better than others but I just feel all kinds of uncomfortable.

five // see-through maxi skirts
Why? If I'm going to wear a maxi skirt (or dress) it is going to be fully there.

six // fur or faux fur
I don't like how it looks, I don't like how it feels, I don't like people who endorse real fur clothes. sorry not sorry.

So there are probably a million more fashion trends that I don't/didn't understand and will never buy into. I'm not saying that some people can't pull these off and look amazing but I am not one of them.  Any fashion disasters or successes to share?  Do you have fashion trend you love or hate?  Let me know what you're thinking.

  2. All of these things you listed as well as wedges. I just cannot get on that train. It doesn't actually matter though considering I spend most of my days in t-shirts.

    1. Hahah I'm like hot and cold with wedges! I always love them on other people and then I go to the store to try them on and it just doesn't work out... I mean it could have something to do with the fact that I'm 5'8"... but I like other heels so I don't know

  4. Um I agree to absolutely every one of those things and cannot understand why people think they're a good idea! Glad someone's on the same wavelength!

  5. Well, I agree with most but being 5'2" I love me a good platform! :) I definitely cannot get on the crop top trend or sheer maxi. Or high/low as someone said above. I hate those! But to each their own...right??

    1. High-low skirts, I just can't... I wish I had added that to the list as well. And I guess being 5'2" would be different than 5'8" and maybe I'd enjoy some platform shoes too (so long as you don't mean platform sneakers and the like)
