Because Mondays are Hard Enough

By Chandler - 7/14/2014

Since we all know how hard Mondays can be, I've decided to use the prompt from today's Blog Everyday in July and because I've been having fun reading Juliette's posts so far this month.

Anyway for today I have to finish these sentence starters:

When I open the fridge, I always hope I find... pizza.
My favorite article of clothing is... a maxi dress. Unless shoes count, then shoes. All of them. Mostly I enjoy buying them because I actually prefer to be barefoot.
Last week I was really pissed when... the customer service lady at one of our field trips told me that I should have left my campers on the bus because we hadn't paid our deposit. Lady, please. That is NOT my job and you could be a little nicer. Thank you. ps- I figured it all out and we still were able to attend our scheduled field trip.
One thing I don't understand is... why I have to pump my own gas in all the states besides New Jersey. sigh.
The world would be a better place if... people would slow down and actually settle into relationships instead of constantly moving and talking to technology.
If I could change one thing about myself... it would be my fear of change.
Something I'll never blog about is... politics.
If I could go anywhere I would go... to Thailand because... I want to have a pet elephant and teach little children English and because it seems really cool. I'm that shallow sometime, it sounds cool so I wanna do it.
If I were an animal I would be a... wolf because I'm loyal and protective.
A job I've always wanted is... a writer. I've got ideas, more of them than this work could possibly need. But I also have fear of the unknown and I feel like the profession of "writing" is a big unknown. At least for me. So for now, I'll be a teacher because that's a job I've always wanted to!

Now, I'm clearly not blogging everyday in July (because it is the 14th and I've barely written in July) but I'll join the link-up for today :)
Happy Monday friends!

    1. Yay for other people who love pizza and maxi dresses :) And I know we are, but I’ve actually spent most of my driving years in states outside of NJ! I just love when I go home and don’t have to do it myself, also gas prices are better.

  3. With having someone pump your gas in NJ, does that mean you have to tip them? (asks the cheapskate who would rather pump her own gas than pay)

    1. I get this question all the time, you don't have to tip them. I actually don't know anyone who has ever tipped them. Sometimes around the holidays people will give them a few extra dollars or a gift card or something. And bonus: NJ gas prices are cheaper than a lot of other states.

  4. Have you ever heard of National Novel Writing Month? (NaNoWriMo for short.) In November you challenge yourself to write 50K words... it doesn't matter if the story sucks or whatever ... you just write and write and write and let your creative juices flow!!

  5. this is such a fun little list of things to read! i admit that i only took french in college because i thought it was cool. i think it's totally ok for that to be a motivator sometimes. ;-) and i have no idea what it's like to have someone pump gas for me! unless i bribe my roommate to do it for me. which i don't think counts! happy monday. mine just got a little better.

  7. All of my extended family lives in New Jersey, and I have to say it's nice to not pump my own gas over there! I also found out about Birch beer from my time in NJ. It's not common in Ohio and my siblings and I didn't know what it was.

    1. It's the best haha! And birch beer is great, I've grown up on it! Well actually, I'm not crazy about soda in general but I love the taste :)

    1. Most people who pump their own gas feel uncomfortable when they come to New Jersey because they don't know what to do with themselves haha. And Thailand is absolutely on the bucket list!!
