Road Trip: North Carolina

By Chandler - 6/24/2014

I'm dying to have a blog post title read "Road Trip: USA" but since that little adventure doesn't seem to be happening anytime soon, I'll settle for North Carolina.

I am super excited to share last week's adventure to North Carolina with you! **It's a 10 hour drive from my house and a 7 hour drive from my friend's house. That's A LOT of driving and car time...

Thankfully, we hardly hit traffic!

Since I am clearly one of those top-notch bloggers and all, I took a million pictures of this trip.  Actually, I took some snapchats, a picture of the North Carolina sign on i95, and a picture of my dessert at Cracker Barrel... whoops. But I'll share those for ya!
Clearly snapchat is a priority for me... that and coffee.

Okay, now I'm gonna let you in on a little secret. I've been to North Carolina two times in the last three weeks and you all just got finished reading about what a long drive that is... so what is wrong with me? NOTHING! I've been interviewing for teaching positions because who doesn't love to travel 10 hours to do that?!?! Except I actually don't :)

Wanna know another secret? I got offered a job (well actually two)!! I seriously did a happy dance and almost hugged the guy... I didn't know if that was socially acceptable or not though so I resisted the urge! Points for me?

Now comes the tough stuff, big grown up decisions and all that. 10 hours is a pretty far place for a girl who's never been more than 3 hours away from her mama. But I think I am ready to take the plunge and make the most of this adventure.

Here's to accepting jobs, apartment hunting, decorating a classroom, and moving up in the world! Oh and changing banks and insurance companies, and getting a new licenses, and paying bills... but that stuff is sooo much less fun.

Enjoy what's left of your Mondays :)
