Saturday Morning Coffee Date

By Chandler - 3/09/2013

...well it's not really a date.
More like me having coffee myself listening to good music :)

I have not had coffee is a little while and this morning I was craving it. So I made a pot and I could not be happier with that decision.

But really that is not what this post is about, I'm gonna try to play catch up and talk a little about what I've been up to!

Since coming back to school after the "Let's Get Sandy 5K," I have been so busy with school work and the Early Childhood Organization and trying to be a good friend that I hardly have time to blog.  But this morning, I told myself that I needed a break from reality to just write.

So let's see. I have started my field placement for this Spring.  It is a 12 week placement and I am beyond excited about it.  At first I wasn't sure how to feel because there is a lot of work tied to it. And I'm in a daycare with 2-year-olds; definitely not a placement I ever thought I'd have.  But I love it because it reminds me of my kids at home/at work.  I miss them dearly and this helps me get my fix of working with kiddies!
Anyway, with this placement I have to write a lesson plan each week—this is getting easier but anyone who writes lesson plans for toddler everyday, I don't know how you do it!
So far the themes have been: Imaginary Creatures (I did monsters); Dinosaurs (One of my favorite themes ever, anywhere); Dr. Seuss (The Cat in the Hat); and next week is Leprechauns (I don't know what I'm doing for that yet...)

Other than placement, ECHO has kept me busy with other things.  We are getting ready for a lot of events this semester including Relay for Life, Volley for Kids, and Alex's Lemonade Stand.
I love being Secretary but I am so sleepy after Tuesdays that I never want to do anything.

Classes have been all about the workload right now because Spring Break starts next week! I'm going to Florida with my friends!!!!! We are beyond excited. I just have to get through two more papers, two midterms, and a project.... sigh. Oh and packing... that will be fun (not).

I think that is all I have been up to... not that exciting but that's alright.

Here's to hoping I didn't bore you to sleep
and that the sun keeps shining!
xoxo

Stay Beautiful :)
